2023 LEGISLATIVE SESSION BILL MONITOR

HB 181

Representative
Phillip DeVillier

PASSED

ACT 363

CORONERS: Provides relative to telemedicine access for coroners.

We initially OPPOSED this bill that would allow non-physicians to sign coroner emergency certificates. After relentless advocacy, the Senate Health and Welfare committee offered good amendments a that would allow physicians only to sign coroner certificates over telemedicine. We support the final bill as passed.
